Waterloo Closures

 

King, Erb to William

King, from Erb to William closed on February 8 until approximately late-November

 

Caroline and Allen

The intersection closed on February 19 until approximately mid-June

 

  Kumpf and Northfield

The intersection closed on September 28 until approximately late-June 2016

Special notes: Traffic traveling east and west on Northfield will be maintained. Access to Kumpf from Weber will also be maintained.

 

  Highway 85 on-ramps at Northfield

The southbound on ramp from Northfield to Highway 85 closed on February 8 until approximately mid-November.

 

  Highway 85 off-ramps at Northfield

The north and south off ramps from Highway 85 to Northfield closed on June 8, 2015,until approximately late 2016

 

King and Green

The intersection partially closed on May 10 until approximately mid-June

Special notes: The closure will be in the center of the intersection in the LRT track bed. Those wishing to access Grand River Hospital from Park will need to do so from Mount Hope. Access from the King/Union intersection is anticipated to be re-open on or about May 15

 

Caroline and Erb

The intersection closed on May 16 until approximately mid-September

Special notes: Detours will be in place from King to University to Westmount and from Erb to Regina to William. Access to the Waterloo Town Square North lot will be available via Caroline. Both the King/William and King/Union intersections will re-open prior to the Caroline/Erb closure

 

Freemont at Caroline

The intersection closed on May 16 until approximately June 3.

Special notes: Two-way traffic will be maintained on Caroline for the duration of this closure.

 

King, between Allen and Union

King, between Allen and Union closed on May 18 until approximately mid-June.

 

Conestogo at King

Conestogo on the West side of King will close on or about June 1 for approximately one week. T

Special notes: Two-way traffic will be maintained on King for the duration of this closure.

 

 

Kitchener Closures

 

  King Street Grade Separation

King Street, from Victoria to Moore, closed on June 8, 2015  for construction of the King Street Grade Separation. This closure is in place for approximately 18 months. This area is closed to all traffic, including pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. As part of the King Street grade separation work, Waterloo Street (at the CN railway tracks) is also closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic

 

  Courtland and Shelley

The intersection closed on September 28 and will remain closed until approximately mid-June 2016

 

  Queen and Charles

The intersection closed on November 23 until approximately mid-June

 

  Hayward and the railway tracks

The intersection closed on January 19 until approximately late-November

Special notes: Fencing will be installed across the railway tracks to close the railway crossings to all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. During this closure, local traffic, both north and southbound, will be maintained on Hayward up to the railway crossing.  Drivers and pedestrians should use Block Line to Lennox Lewis detour to access businesses on Hayward

 

Louisa and King

The intersection closed on March 23 until approximately early-June

Special notes: One lane northbound on King (from Wellington to Green) will remain open for the duration of this closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

 

Duke and Water

The intersection closed on March 29 until approximately late-May

 

Ottawa and Charles

The intersection closed on April 4 until approximately mid-July

 

Andrew and King

The intersection closed on  April 7 until approximately early-June

Special notes: One lane northbound on King (from Wellington to Green) will remain open for the duration of this closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained

 

Moore and King

The intersection closed on April 13 until approximately mid-October

 

Duke and Queen

The intersection closed on April 13 until approximately mid-June

 

Francis, from King to Duke

Francis, from King to Duke, closed on April 21 until approximately late-August

Special notes: Access to Bell Line will be provided via Water Street

 

Duke and Francis

The intersection closed on  April 21 until approximately late-August

 

Francis and King

The intersection closed on April 22 until approximately late-August

 

Duke and College

The intersection closed on April 26 until approximately late-May

Special notes: Two- way traffic will be permitted on College, from Weber to Duke during this closure

 

Courtland and Ottawa

The intersection closed on May 9 for approximately three weeks

Special notes: A detour directing vehicles to Mill to Stirling will be in place

 

Charles and Francis

The intersection closed on May 9 for approximately three weeks

Special notes: Businesses on Francis, between Charles and King will need to access via Halls Lane off Water Street

 

Cameron and Charles

The intersection closed on May 17 until approximately mid-June

 

Duke and Young

The intersection closed on May 25 until approximately early-July

 

Ottawa and Lilac

The intersection closed on May 27 until approximately June 3

 

Ottawa and Mill

The intersection will close on or about June 10 until approximately mid-August

 

Victoria, Joseph to Duke

Victoria, from Joseph to Duke will close on or about June 1 until approximately late-September

Special notes: This will require a full closure of the Charles/Victoria and King/Victoria intersections. A detour will be in place to Weber to Water to Joseph.

 

Ottawa and Nyberg

The intersection will close on or about June 1 for approximately three days
